Building Code Adoption
Adoption Tool Kit and Model ordinance
Safely constructed buildings are instrumental in preventing fire, protecting interior building air quality, and ensuring overall regional resiliency in the event of natural and man-made emergencies. Idaho building codes provide essential tools that protect public health and safety through important safeguards from hazards associated with the built environment.
The Association of Idaho Cities created an Adoption Toolkit and Model Ordinance to assist local Idaho governments in carrying out their responsibilities as they pertain to the adoption and implementation of building codes.
